Japs Gives Back In Style

Because May is Julie Anne San Jose's birthday month, we are holding a month-long series of contests here in thejapsstyle.

With the idea of wanting to give back to all of her supporters, as Japs has always shown, we searched for people who are willing to celebrate with us the flourishing of our princess's style, especially as she turns 18! With their help, we are giving away a bunch of different gifts to Japs's active followers.

1. Like our Facebook fanpage first, then post an answer to our question in this format: Your answer - Your name. This will serve as your one-time registration to the WHOLE contest (no need to comment for all days of May), and will entitle you to 1 entry PER specific giveaway promo.

If you have a twitter account, and following @thejapsstyle, comment with the format: Your answer - Your name & @Twitterusername. FB liker AND Twitter follower gets 2 entries PER promo.

Finally, if you have a Blogger account, and following us here also, comment on our same FB post, with the format:  Your answer - Your name, @Twitterusername, & Blogger username. FB liker, Twitter follower AND Blogger follower gets 4 entries PER gift.

Tickets for Julie Anne's thanksgiving concert on the 16th of May will be on sale at Team Manila branches in TriNoma and Mall of Asia starting tomorrow!

Aside from the surely breath-taking performances, we're also excited for the "free, exclusive loot bags" to be distributed at the concert venue. We wonder what they have in store for all of us...

Fresh Like Julie

Who can forget the cuteness of this photo taken while Japs was shopping at Vans? She's eyeing the equally cute pair of I <3 Vans girls board shorts!

We waited for her to don it and, alas, here are the photos of Julie wearing the shorts on the shoot of her first music video entitled, The One I Love. She wore it with a plain tank top from Forever 21, her trusty Vans sneakers, and an orange Unisilver watch for freshness fit for the summer.

TBar TEEm-Up

Who says a simple tee does not belong to a rockin' outfit? TBar PH helps Julie Anne disprove this. Below is a photo of the customized, fringed shirt they made for Japs, who looks comfy yet still stylish during a meeting.

And the best kicks to wear with a TBar tee? A pair of Vans, of course. Also shown in the picture above is the orange Neon Era shoes, which they ordered especially for her.

Japs also rocked this Le Beta Alpha tee from TBar PH while rehearsing with Elmo Magalona for Party Pilipinas. She wore it with a pair of jeans and a messy up-do for a cool, laid-back look.

We bet a lot of you wants to know where Julie Anne got the beautiful dress she wore last Sunday on Party Pilipinas FTW. Here is the answer:

The dress by Ashley Cayuca looks sweet yet edgy, which fits our princess's personality well. Japs wore it while singing with her tandem, Elmo Magalona.

First Wave

Last Saturday (April 21, 2012), the MyJaps x TeamManila Collection was launched in Team Manila's TriNoma branch.

Julie Anne San Jose arrived to meet the fans who were very eager to purchase items from the collection. The store was packed and as per @wendellVANS, "shirts were flying off the shelves." Here are a few of his snapshots of what took place in the launch:

As a bonus, @wendellVANS also revealed what pair of kicks Julie Anne wore during the event: her new "Vans jellybean mix."

 Also, we're hearing that there are more designs to be revealed in the future. Stay tuned!

Both Pretty, Kinda Little, But Definitely Not Liars

In an interview, Julie Anne revealed that her fashion icon is Lucy Hale. Lucy is currently seen in the US TV series Pretty Little Liars. She plays Aria Montgomery, one of the four protagonists, a daughter to teacher parents and a teen who’s in love with a teacher. How complicated is that? Haha. She was also recently signed by Bench to be their endorser along with Michael Trevino a.k.a. Tyler Lockwood of The Vampire Diaries.

After knowing this information from Japs, we tried looking for Lucy’s look and found this resemblance:

Vans Overload

Here's Japs' look during her recording session for her self-written song 'When You Said Goodbye'. Hmmm? What might be her inspiration in writing such? Haha. Kidding aside, she's wearing Vans cap and tee here. Vans girl represent!

When You Said Goodbye is her second self-composed song in her upcoming album. The first one is entitled Baby You Are. Equally catchy and equally emo. Haha! Based on the lyrics revealed on the sneak peeks, both are about unrequited love. What's with that bebegurl? :P
